COVID-19 UPDATE

The Coast Collective Art Centre (CCAC) was an initiative of the non-profit Coast Collective Art Society (CCAS) whose mission is to promote and support arts and culture in the communities of southern Vancouver Island by providing educational experiences and venues which foster creativity, collaboration and diversity.  Unfortunately, due to financial difficulties brought on by COVID-19, the Coast Collective Art Centre had to shut its doors permanently at the end of May 2020.  For more information about CCAS go to www.coastcollective.ca.

I enjoyed teaching paverpol classes at CCAC for 12 years.  With its closure came the cancellation of my classes scheduled for the remainder of the year. All things considered, I decided to take the remainder of the year off from teaching and concentrate on creating new ideas and some fun new sculptures.

Now here we are almost half way through 2021 and restrictions are only just beginning to be lifted.  At this point I don't know if, when or where I may be teaching again in the future.  I will update that information when it is available.

If you have any questions please don't hesitate to contact me at kathrynfudge@hotmail.com.  And you can always find more information about paverpol and instructors at www.orangewireart.ca, www.paverpol.ca, and www.paverpol.com.

Stay safe and stay healthy.

WHAT IS PAVERPOL?
Paverpol is a unique medium that offers endless possibilities to your creativity.  With it you can make statues, both for indoors and outdoors, as well as abstract art, wall decorations, vases, bowls, jewelry, masks and more.  Paverpol is a water based, non-toxic textile hardener.  It adheres to all natural materials such as wool, cotton, silk, wood, paper, clay, plaster and earthenware.   In addition to the hardener, the Paverpol line includes various products which give new effects every time.  Paverpol is certified by the Art & Creative Materials Institute, Inc. to be safe for humans, animals and the environment.  Clean up is easy with soap and warm water.

For more information on Paverpol check out the websites www.orangewireart.ca or www.paverpol.ca  or  www.paverpol.com.

It’s safe and easy and best of all – everyone can do it!

Tall Sculpture

Add a whole new dimension to your garden with a beautiful fabric sculpture using paverpol, a non-toxic fabric hardener that can be used indoors or out.  You can choose to make your sculpture 3 feet tall or 6 feet tall and style it any way you like - a ribbon dancer, a bird watcher, a gardener, whatever.  On the first day of this two day workshop, each student will create an armature and reinforce it with metal rods, then build up the form with tin foil. The second day will be for wrapping and dressing the sculpture in your choice of style and color.  As this is a more advanced lesson, a previous paverpol class is recommended.
